Together: Heart2Heart Recovery Mission was born from lived experience, deep compassion, and the belief that healing happens best in connection.

Founded by Niki Merrill, Together: Heart2Heart is rooted in the understanding that recovery is not a straight line—and that true transformation requires safety, honesty, empowerment, and hope. Niki is a Recovery Program Coordinator and advocate who works at the intersection of recovery, systems, and humanity. Through her work supporting recovery coaches within institutional settings and in the community, she has seen firsthand the power of meeting people where they are and walking beside them—not ahead of them.

Niki’s approach is grounded in emotional intelligence, inner-child healing, and strengths-based recovery. Her workshops, trainings, and writing—including the C.O.R.E. Strength for Healing framework—are designed to help individuals reconnect with themselves through Compassion, Optimism, Resilience, and Empowerment. At the heart of everything she does is one guiding truth: people are not broken—they are responding to what they’ve survived.

Together: Heart2Heart is also supported by Casey, Niki’s husband and partner in both life and mission. Casey brings a steady, grounded presence to the work—offering behind-the-scenes support, logistics, and practical problem-solving that helps turn vision into reality. His belief in recovery, community, and second chances is reflected in his quiet consistency and willingness to show up where help is needed most.

As a couple, Niki and Casey believe that healing is strengthened by shared responsibility, mutual support, and community connection. Together, they are committed to creating spaces—through workshops, storytelling, and outreach—where people feel seen, heard, and worthy of change.
